#031: WhatsApp Catalogs & Carousel Cards
Blog/Changelog/#031: WhatsApp Catalogs & Carousel Cards

August 7, 2026

TL;DR:

  • Your catalog, but easier: Carousel Cards send up to 10 swipeable cards, and your assistant picks the set that fits what the customer asked.
  • A storefront in the chat: connect your WhatsApp Catalog and customers browse products, prices, and categories without leaving the conversation.
  • Forms that finish: WhatsApp Flows run bookings, registrations, and lead capture inside the chat.
  • Your Inbox, your layout: drag the dividers to resize the panels.

This Friday, WhatsApp becomes a place to sell, not just to answer. Here is batch #031.

The Invent template builder toolbar showing the new template block types: Buttons, Carousel, Catalog, Flow, Offer, and Footer.

Your templates just leveled up: Catalog, Carousel, and Flow join the block picker.

Your catalog, but easier. One message carries 2 to 10 swipeable cards, each with an image or video, a short line, and up to two buttons, and your assistant sends the set that fits what the customer asked. No product feed, no cart, no commerce setup. We wrote a full guide: WhatsApp Carousel Cards: Your Catalog, Easier.

A WhatsApp conversation where an AI assistant greets a visitor and sends swipeable carousel cards, each with an image, a title, and a Schedule an appointment button.

Up to 10 swipeable cards in one message, chosen by your assistant for each customer.

WhatsApp Catalogs

Selling priced products? Connect the catalog you built in Meta Commerce Manager and send it as a Catalog template: customers open a browsable storefront inside WhatsApp, with categories, product images, and prices. Prices and stock read live from your catalog, so you never send a stale price.

Create one under Templates, choose the Catalog type, and connect your catalog.

The Invent products view showing a connected WhatsApp Catalog with five services listed, each with an image, a name, a content ID, and an Eligible status.

Your catalog, connected: what customers browse in the chat reads live from Commerce Manager.

WhatsApp Flows support

Forms that live inside the chat. Send a Flow from your templates and customers complete the steps, a booking, a registration, a lead form, without leaving WhatsApp. Every answer lands back in the conversation, where your assistant can act on it.

A WhatsApp Flow form open inside a chat, with name and email fields, consent checkboxes, and a continue button, completed without leaving WhatsApp.

The whole form happens inside WhatsApp, and the answers land in the conversation.

Resize your Inbox

Drag the dividers in your Inbox to resize the panels: give the conversation list, the chat, and the contact details the space that fits how you work.

The Invent Inbox shown at two different panel widths, with a drag handle between the conversation list and the chat panel.

Your Inbox, your layout: drag the dividers.

Start selling in the chat, in three steps

  1. Open Templates and create your first Catalog, Carousel, or Flow, then submit it once for Meta approval.
  2. Tell your assistant in plain language when to send it: "when someone asks about our services, send the services carousel." And add your images to your Knowledge base too: the assistant picks the right ones for each conversation and shows them right in the chat.
  3. Let the conversation run. Your assistant picks the right template at the right moment, and every tap, reply, and form answer lands back in the chat.

Why it matters

Until now, the chat answered questions and the selling happened somewhere else. With Catalogs, Carousel Cards, and Flows, the whole journey, browse, choose, book, pay attention to this one, register, happens inside WhatsApp, where your customers already are, with your assistant running it.

Open Templates, pick your first Catalog, Carousel, or Flow, and let your assistant handle the rest.

With love,
