Invent Is Now in Claude's Connectors Directory
Blog/Product/Invent Is Now in Claude's Connectors Directory

Last updated: October 2026

TL;DR

  • Invent is now listed in Claude's Connectors Directory. In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors > Discover, search for Invent, connect, sign in to Invent, and Claude can work with your customer conversations.
  • Ask in plain language. Claude reads conversations and contacts, finds what needs attention, drafts and sends replies, adds or updates contacts, and looks up anything else in your workspace.
  • You can manage your inbox, contacts, knowledge base, AI assistants, broadcasts and analytics from a Claude chat, next to the other tools you already connected to Claude.
  • Ask Claude what your conversations are telling you: the questions your knowledge base is missing, how to improve your assistant's instructions, what customers want next, and who on your team deserves a shout-out.
  • You pick the organizations Claude can use, with View (read only) or Write access for each. Claude never gets more than your own role allows.
  • Change or remove access any time in Invent: click your profile picture, then Account settings > Connected apps. Every change Claude makes shows up in the audit log as a connected app.
  • It is no-code. No technical skills required: one click, one sign-in.

Your customers already talk to you on WhatsApp, Instagram and your website, and Invent keeps all of it in one inbox. Now you can ask Claude about that inbox the way you would ask a teammate: "who's still waiting on a reply from yesterday?" Claude looks, answers, and if you allow it, acts.

This post covers what the connector is, why it matters for a business that runs on conversations, everything you can manage from Claude, a sneak peek of a real morning with it, and how to set it up in about a minute.

What is the Invent connector for Claude?

The Invent connector for Claude is a link, built by Invent, between your Invent workspace and Claude, the AI assistant made by Anthropic. Once connected, Claude can read and work with your Invent data from any Claude chat: your inbox, contacts, AI assistants, knowledge base and broadcasts.

Invent is a workspace for customer conversations. It brings WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, email and web chat into one inbox, with contacts, AI assistants that answer customers, and broadcasts. The connector puts all of that one question away.

Under the hood it runs on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard Claude uses to talk to other apps. You never have to touch it. The listing in Claude's directory handles the setup for you.

Why this matters for business owners

Running a business that lives on conversations means living in tabs. The inbox in one, the calendar in another, the store admin in a third, a spreadsheet somewhere for the numbers. The answers you need are all there. Getting to them is the slow part.

The answer is already in your inbox

Most business owners don't lack data. They lack time to dig through it. "Which leads went cold this week?" "Did anyone answer the woman who asked about bridal packages?" "How many people replied to Tuesday's promo?" Every one of those answers sits in your Invent inbox, spread across a few hundred chats.

A dashboard answers the questions someone thought to build a chart for. Claude answers the question you have right now, in your own words, and can follow up: "ok, and which of those came from Instagram?"

Fewer tabs, faster decisions

When the answer takes ten seconds instead of ten minutes, you ask more often. You catch the unanswered lead on Monday instead of Thursday. You notice the broadcast that flopped before you send the next one. Small things, done every day, are what keep customers coming back.

Your team and your AI work from the same place

Everything Claude does goes through Invent. A reply goes out from your real WhatsApp, Instagram or email account. A note lands in the chat where your team will see it. An assignment shows up in your teammate's inbox. Nothing lives in a side tool, and nobody has to copy anything back.

Connect Invent with the tools you already use

We want Invent to fit into how you already work, not the other way around. That idea runs through the whole product: your AI assistants already connect to the apps you use, like Shopify, Google Calendar, HubSpot and Stripe, so they can check an order, book a slot or send a payment link inside the conversation.

The Claude connector takes the same idea one step further. Claude has its own connectors for the tools you use every day. When Invent sits next to them in the same chat, Claude can work across all of them in one request:

  • Your calendar and your inbox: with Google Calendar also connected to Claude, "find two free slots on Thursday and offer them to Marta on WhatsApp."
  • Your docs and your customers: "read our new price list in Google Drive and check our knowledge base for anything that still shows the old prices."
  • Your team chat and your contacts: "post a summary of today's unanswered leads in our sales channel."

Each tool keeps its own sign-in and its own permissions. Claude simply becomes the one place where you ask.

What you can manage from Claude

Here is what the connector covers today. Tools that change data only work in organizations where you gave Claude Write access.

  • Organizations: see every organization the connection can use and the access it has in each. Claude starts here.
  • Inbox: list conversations, read messages, reply, add a private note, assign a chat to a teammate, resolve or reopen it, mute it, and turn AI replies on or off for that conversation.
  • Contacts: search contacts, read their profile and custom fields, and read or add comments.
  • Knowledge base: search what your AI assistants answer from, list its content and see its stats.
  • Segments: list your contact segments.
  • AI assistants: list your assistants and read how each one is set up.
  • Broadcasts: list your broadcasts and read their analytics.
  • Analytics: get an organization summary and your response times.
  • Chats and members: list and read chats, and see who is on your team.
  • Everything else: for anything the Invent API offers beyond this list, Claude can find the right operation on its own.

A sneak peek: Monday morning with Claude and Invent

Here is what a first coffee could look like for the owner of a small hair salon. The names are made up, the flow is real.

You: morning. anything urgent in the salon inbox?
Claude: Three conversations are waiting on you. Lucía asked on WhatsApp Saturday night if you have anything for a balayage this week. Tom on Instagram wants to move his Wednesday trim. And a new lead from your website asked about prices for a wedding party of five. Your AI assistant already answered two more about opening hours.
You: reply to Tom that Wednesday at 4 works if he wants it, and assign the wedding one to Ana
Claude: Here's the reply for Tom: "Hey Tom! Wednesday at 4pm is open if that works for you. Want me to lock it in?" Send it?
You: yes
Claude: Sent on Instagram. The wedding party chat is assigned to Ana, and I added a note with the date they mentioned.
You: how did last week's promo broadcast do?
Claude: It went to your regulars segment. Here are the delivered, read and replied numbers from Invent, plus the three customers who replied asking to book.

The names and messages in this example are made up. What matters is the shape of it: one chat, three channels, a reply sent, a teammate assigned, and a report, before the first client walks in.

Turn your conversations into better decisions

Your inbox is the most honest market research you have. Every day, customers tell you what they want, what confuses them and what almost made them buy somewhere else. Claude can read all of it, spot the patterns, and tell you what to do next.

Find the questions your assistant can't answer yet

Ask "what were the most common questions in the last two weeks?" and Claude reads your recent conversations and groups them. Then ask "which of those aren't in our knowledge base?" Claude checks your knowledge base and lists the gaps: the shipping question that keeps coming up, the new service nobody wrote an answer for.

Claude can draft the missing answers for you to review. With Write access, it can add them to your knowledge base, so your AI assistant answers them next time.

Improve your assistant's instructions

Your AI assistant follows the instructions you gave it. Claude can read those instructions next to the conversations where the assistant handed off to a human or gave a weak answer, and suggest what to change: "customers keep asking for a price range before booking, add one to the instructions."

You decide what goes in. With Write access, Claude can update the instructions once you say yes.

Spot what your customers want

Patterns in the inbox are often ideas waiting to happen. Ask "what are people asking for lately that we don't offer?" and Claude might notice that more customers are asking about group deals or weekend availability. That could be your next promotion, and with a broadcast, it's one message away.

Celebrate your team

Invent scores customer satisfaction on each conversation, from 1 to 5, and knows who was assigned to it. So Claude can tell you each teammate's average score, who resolved the most chats, and who took on the hardest ones.

If your team moves contacts between segments, like from Leads to Closed, Invent logs who moved each one and when. Claude can count those moves too: "who closed the most leads this week?" That makes it easy to give a shout-out in your team meeting, or a small perk at the end of the month.

A sneak peek: your weekly review

Here is what a Friday check-in could look like for the owner of a small spa. The names and numbers are made up.

You: what should I know from this week?
Claude: Three things stand out. Eleven customers asked if you have couples packages, and your knowledge base doesn't mention them, so your assistant handed all of them to the team. Want me to draft an answer?
Claude: Second, more people are asking about weekday discounts than last month. A weekday deal could fill your quieter mornings.
Claude: And your team did great. Sofía's conversations averaged 4.5 out of 5, the best on the team. Daniel moved 29 contacts from Leads to Closed this week, his best week yet. Both might deserve a shout-out.
You: draft the couples package answer and a short broadcast for a weekday deal. i'll review both

Two minutes of reading. A knowledge gap closed, a promotion idea, and a reason to thank your team.

Who it's for

The connector is useful anywhere conversations drive the business. A few examples:

  • Salons, spas and clinics: check who asked to rebook, move appointments, and catch the questions your AI assistant handed to a human.
  • Real estate teams: pull every unanswered property inquiry from Instagram and WhatsApp into one list, and assign them to agents before the weekend.
  • Online stores: find customers asking about a late order, reply with an update, and see which broadcast brought in the most replies.
  • Agencies: give Claude View access to every client organization and Write on just one, then prepare client reports from broadcast analytics and response times without exporting a file.
  • Service businesses: turn "what did that customer say last time?" into a ten-second answer before you call them back.

How to connect Invent to Claude

It takes about a minute, from the Claude app or the web.

First, find Invent in Claude. There are two ways:

  • In the Claude app: open Settings > Connectors, pick the Discover tab, search for Invent and click + on the Invent card.
  • On the web: go to the Claude directory, type Invent in the Search connectors box, open the Invent listing and click Connect. You can also go straight to Invent's listing.

Then:

  1. Sign in to Invent. You land on an Invent page that lists your organizations.
  2. For each organization, pick None, View or Write. Claude shows a verified mark on this page, so you know the request really comes from Claude.
  3. Confirm. The Invent card now shows a check. Back in a chat, start with something simple, like "Which Invent organizations can you use?"
The Connectors page in Claude settings on the Discover tab, with "invent" typed in the search box and the Invent card, marked Community and New, showing a green check because it is connected.

In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors > Discover and search for Invent.

That's it. The full steps, including how to connect other AI apps, live in our AI Apps docs.

Tips for your first week

  • Start with View. Let Claude read for a few days. Once you trust how it works, switch the organizations you want to Write.
  • Ask like you'd ask a teammate. Short, casual questions work best: "who's waiting?", "what did she ask last time?"
  • Name the channel when it matters. "Only WhatsApp" or "from Instagram this week" narrows the answer.
  • Review before you send. Ask Claude to show you a reply before it goes out, at least until you know its tone.

You stay in control

Handing an AI the keys to your customer conversations should come with a lock. We built three into the connector.

Access per organization. Each organization gets its own setting. View lets Claude read and refuses every change. Write lets Claude read and change data. None keeps the organization out of the connection completely.

Never more than your role. Claude works as you, not as an admin. If your role can't edit something in an organization, Claude can't either, even with Write.

Easy to undo. In Invent, click your profile picture, open Account settings and pick Connected apps. There you see every connected app, the organizations it can use, and when it was last used. Edit access, and Claude follows the change on its next request. Disconnect, and the connection ends right away. Nothing Claude created is deleted. A connection that goes unused for 90 days ends on its own.

The Connected apps page in Invent showing Claude, verified at claude.ai, with Write access to four organizations and View access to two, plus buttons to edit access or disconnect.

In Invent, your profile picture > Account settings > Connected apps: see which organizations Claude can use, change its access, or disconnect it.

Every change Claude makes shows Connected app as its source in the audit log, so you always know who did what.

What we're building at Invent

At Invent, we believe your customer conversations should be useful wherever you work. Your AI assistants answer customers on every channel. Your team works the same conversations in one inbox. And now the AI tools you already use can work with them too.

Claude is the first stop, not the last. The same connection works with ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other apps that support MCP, all from one address, all with the same View and Write controls. Your data stays in Invent, and you decide who gets to use it.

The Use Invent from your AI apps window in Invent, with ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor icons, the connector link https://api.useinvent.com/mcp, and a first prompt to try: Show my 10 newest contacts in Invent.

The same connector link works for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI apps.

Ask your inbox anything

The best support teams know their customers by heart. Now your whole inbox can be one question away.

Open Invent in Claude, click Connect, and ask your first question.
