An agent does a job for your team. It runs on a schedule, or whenever you ask, using the apps you connect. Your assistant talks to customers. Your agents do your team's work. It asks when it's your call
Before a step that matters, like sending six WhatsApp follow-ups, it asks you in Tasks › Needs you, then carries on after your answer. More in the Tasks guide.
Routines: runs on Autopilot
A routine is the moment an agent starts work by itself: on a schedule, on an app event like a new Gmail email, or on Autopilot, where it picks its next run. Create one by asking Ask Invent, or ask the agent in its own chat. To see all your routines in one place, open Routines in the left panel, under Setup right after Channels. You can also set up a private routine for yourself, without an agent: click Create private routine on that page. Only you see it and its runs. Every run is saved, and each agent has a monthly spending limit. All the options are in the Routines guide.
Talk to it in Slack or Teams
Ask in Slack or Microsoft Teams, and the agent answers in the thread. More in AI Agents for Business.
Invent Tables

Instagram comment replies
When someone comments a keyword like INFO or PRICE on your post or reel, your assistant answers them in a private message. To turn it on, go to Assistants → Channels → Instagram → Manage and pick Reply to comments. The Comment Replies guide has the full setup and tips for picking a keyword.
Facebook comment replies work the same way. If you haven't turned them on yet, open Facebook Messenger → Manage in the same place. New to Messenger? Start with connecting Facebook Messenger to your AI assistant.
Why it matters
