Blog/Changelog/#026: WhatsApp Templates Editor, Invent for Agents & Claude Sonnet 5

July 3, 2026

TL;DR

Create and edit your WhatsApp templates directly in Invent, no more round trips to Meta Manager. Your coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenCode) can now manage your Invent account through the API. And Claude Sonnet 5, Anthropic's newest model, is ready to pick for any assistant.

Last updated: July 3, 2026

It's Friday, and that means new updates from Invent. This week is about removing detours: the template you used to edit somewhere else now lives where your broadcasts do, and the account work you used to click through can now be delegated to an AI agent.

Edit and send WhatsApp templates right inside Invent

No more jumping to Meta Manager. You can now create and edit your WhatsApp templates in a few clicks, directly in Invent, under Broadcasts in the WhatsApp Templates tab.

The WhatsApp Templates tab inside Invent under Broadcasts, showing the template list view and the New template button.

Find your templates under Broadcasts, in the WhatsApp Templates tab.

The new WhatsApp template editor in Invent, with the message body, variables with sample values, optional footer and buttons, a live WhatsApp preview, and a Submit for review button.

The template editor: write the body, add variables, preview the real message, and submit for review without leaving Invent.

What you get:

  • Faster loading: templates open and save quicker than in Meta's manager.
  • Easier creation: a cleaner editor that gets a template ready in less time.
  • One home for campaigns: write the template where you already run your broadcasts.

Why WhatsApp Campaigns are worth your attention:

  • Personalized outreach gets far better response rates than an email blast.
  • Flash sales and urgent offers trigger immediate action.
  • Automated reminders bring clients back and reduce churn.
  • Win-back deals reactivate dormant customers.
  • Easy to share: clients just forward your message to their contacts.
  • In-chat purchase and payment links turn replies into sales.

Who should receive your campaigns? Inactive or dormant clients, abandoned carts, regular and recent one-time buyers, high-value clients, event registrants, upcoming renewals or appointments, and prospects who asked for info but did not buy.

Always send WhatsApp campaigns only to people who have previously interacted or conversed with your business. This keeps your sender reputation high, ensures better delivery, and protects your number.
Two example WhatsApp campaign messages sent from Invent: a spa promotion offering 20 percent off with a Reserve now button, and a Spanish-language sports jersey offer with a 20 percent discount for returning customers.

Campaign examples: an offer with a reserve button, and a win-back promo in the customer's language.

Invent for Agents: let your AI manage your account

Your coding agents can now run Invent for you. Point Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, or your harness of choice at Invent and let it manage your account through the API.

Start here:

The Invent for Agents page in the API documentation, with a ready-to-paste prompt that connects a coding agent to an Invent account and points it at llms.txt.

The For Agents guide in the docs: paste the prompt into your agent and it takes it from there.

If you build with agents, Invent now speaks their language.

Claude Sonnet 5, ready to pick

Anthropic's newest model is live in Invent: their best combination of speed and intelligence, with adaptive thinking and a 1M token context window. Pick it from the model selector on any assistant, or hover it to see the full spec card before you commit.

Inbox chats: options menu

Every chat in your Inbox now has an options menu, right-click included, so the actions you need are always one click away.

The new options menu on a chat in the Invent Inbox, opened with right click, showing Reopen, Assign to with a teammate list, Mark As Unread, Mute, More, and Delete Chat.

Right-click any chat in the Inbox for the new options menu, including one-click assignment to a teammate.

Why it matters

Every detour you remove from the workflow compounds: templates edited where campaigns live, account chores delegated to agents, and a stronger model one click away. The time saved goes where it belongs, into your customers.

The Invent Team**
