#040: Ask Invent, Mentions & Tasks
Blog/Changelog/#040: Ask Invent, Mentions & Tasks

October 9, 2026

TL;DR:

  • Say hello to your new Home
Ask Invent is where your day starts. Ask about your inbox, your team or your numbers, and get the answer right there.
  • Full context in the same window
Open Ask Invent anywhere in Invent, and it already knows what you're looking at.
  • Mentions and Tasks
Mentions collects the tags from your team. Tasks shows where your attention is needed.

It's Friday, and we know how important it is for you to get the work done with no friction, and that's why we make it easier for you.

Say hello to your new Home

Open Invent and the first thing you see is a question: what would you like to do? Ask Invent reads your inbox, contacts, analytics and assistants, and answers in seconds.

The Invent Home screen with Ask Invent in the center, asking What would you like to do?, with shortcuts for Inbox, Assistants, Broadcasts, Audience and Knowledge under the message box.
Your new Home: one question box for the whole workspace.

On your own domain, it shows up as Ask AI, with your brand and no mention of Invent.

Ask Invent is everywhere in Invent. Ask about your inbox, assistants, broadcasts, audience and knowledge. Or let it do the work: create and test an assistant, connect a channel, draft a campaign, find contacts to re-engage, fix what isn't working, and more.

You stay in control

Pick the model for each chat, or leave it on Auto: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and more. Then choose when Ask Invent checks with you before it changes anything.

The Ask Invent message box with the model picker open on Auto, listing ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok, and Approval Mode open with Ask when needed, Always ask and Never ask.
Your model, your rules: decide when it asks before making changes.

Ask when needed lets the AI decide when a change deserves your yes. Always ask stops before every change, and Never ask lets it work on its own.

And it costs less to run: Ask Invent chats cost up to 30% less than assistant chats, so you have more room for your internal tasks.

What can you ask?

Ask who closed the most chats this month, and you get a name and a table. Get charts, get insights, get more ways to improve your operations.

Ask Invent answering Most productive human agent from the month with a table: Mateo Silva resolved 67 conversations with a 4.6 CSAT, everyone else 367 with 4.5.
Real answers from your own data, in plain words.

Or ask: "How can I improve my assistant?" Ask Invent reads the chats your team had to take over, finds the questions your assistant couldn't answer, and suggests the fix: a missing answer for its knowledge, a clearer instruction, or a connection it needs. Say yes, and it makes the change.

It puts conversations resolved and CSAT side by side, so you see who closes the most chats and who keeps customers happiest, in the same answer. Ask a follow-up, like "and last month?", and it keeps the context.

Full context in the same window

Ask Invent opens anywhere in Invent, so you never leave what you're doing. Next to a chat, use it to summarize it, draft a reply in the right tone, or see everything about the contact.

The Invent Inbox with a conversation open on the left and Ask Invent on the right, offering Summarize this conversation, Draft a reply, About this contact and Explain the AI's answer.
Ask about the chat you're reading, without switching tabs.

Four starters wait in the panel: summarize the conversation, draft a reply, get the contact's history, channels and past conversations, or ask why the AI answered the way it did. That last one is the fastest way to catch an answer you'd want to change.

It works in Broadcasts too. Ask it for a WhatsApp template that gets approved, and it asks the right questions before it writes a word.

The Broadcasts page with sent, scheduled and draft campaigns, and Ask Invent open on the right, asking What is the template for? before drafting a WhatsApp template.
From idea to an approved template, in the same window.

You decide how it works

  • Your instructions: tell it how to answer you in Settings › Chats, for example "keep answers short."
  • Your chats, saved and shareable: every Ask Invent chat is saved under the Chats tab, next to Menu. Pick one up later, or share it with your team and choose who can open it.
  • Turn it on or off: Ask Invent is on for every organization. To switch it off for everyone, go to Settings › Customization › Modules, and your Home goes back to the analytics you had before.
  • Spending limits per member: a reminder from last month. Running a big team? Set a monthly limit for each member, or one default for all, in Settings › Spending limits. Limits reset on the 1st of each month.

Mentions and Tasks

Mentions collects every time your team tags you, so nothing gets lost in a busy inbox. Each one shows who tagged you and the customer it's about, with the contact's details and the teammate on the chat right beside it. Read it later? Mark it as unread.

The Mentions page in Invent: Mateo Silva tagged Gigi Hamilton in a private note on Daniela Colorado's chat, with a menu open showing Mark as unread, Open in full page and Delete mention, and Daniela's contact details on the right.
Who tagged you, on which customer, and the full chat, side by side.

Tag a teammate with @ in any private note, and they also get an email with your message and a button that opens the chat.

Tasks is where your attention is needed. When the AI needs a yes, a no or an answer from you, it lands under Needs you.

The Tasks page in Invent with two chats under Needs you, and Ask Invent asking What kind of template should I create for your users? with four options and a Submit button.
Everything waiting on you, in one list. Answer and the AI carries on.

Below it, Coming up shows what's next: your reminders and your routines, like a sales report every Monday morning.

Each reminder shows when it fires, and each routine its schedule and next run.

The Tasks page in Invent with Needs you and Coming up: a reminder to call back Nora Bennett in 14 hours and a Weekly sales report routine that runs every Monday at 9:00 AM.
Reminders and routines, in the order they'll run.

Setting up an assistant for a client? No need to add them to your organization. Send them a connection link from Settings › Connections › Add Connection › Send a connection link, and they connect their own account in a few clicks.

More secure for them, and no friction. It works for every connection: WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and your other channels, plus apps like Notion, Google Drive or their calendar. You decide when the link expires: 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days.

The Connect Notion page a client sees: Pixel Garage sent you this link, a warning that Pixel Garage will get access to the Notion account, and a Continue to Notion button.
Your client connects their own account, without joining your organization.

Why it matters

Your team used to jump between the inbox, analytics and settings to find one answer. Now they ask once, from wherever they are, and get it with the full context.

And new models arrived ✨

Claude Haiku 5.5, Anthropic’s fastest, is now the default Claude. Claude Sonnet 5.5 adds deeper reasoning, and both take 1M tokens of context. Grok 4.7 replaces 4.6, and GPT-6.1 Sol now powers ChatGPT.
