Blog/Changelog/#020: Human-Only Mode & Gemini 3.5 Flash Models

May 22, 2026

It's Friday, and that means new updates from Invent. We're keeping it focused this week with two updates, and the big surprise we keep teasing is getting closer every day.

We love hearing from business owners and agencies about how they keep scaling their businesses with Invent, and this week's updates are built to help you do exactly that: more control over when your AI steps in, and faster, smarter models to power your assistants. Both are live now.

The Highlights

✦ Human-Only Mode: turn off AI replies

You can now turn off AI replies entirely and run any channel with humans only. When AI Replies is off, incoming messages are still received and stored, the AI just never responds, so your team answers. Human-Only Mode gives you full control over when AI steps in. It is perfect for when you want to:

  • Start with humans and add AI later.
  • Pause AI while you improve and retrain your assistants.
  • Run a shared inbox with analytics and broadcasts.
  • Keep VIP and high-touch support fully human.

✦ Gemini 3.5 Flash models, now available

Gemini 3.5 Flash models are now available in Invent. They offer a blend of speed, responsiveness, and strong reasoning for everyday AI use cases, which makes them a great fit for customer support and multimodal experiences. To learn more about the models, read the official Google announcement.

Why it matters

Human-Only Mode lets you roll out AI on your own terms, keeping your highest-touch conversations personal while you build confidence in your assistants. With Gemini 3.5 Flash, those assistants get faster, sharper replies across chat and multimodal support. Together they give you more control and more speed in the same inbox.
